This is a not-particularly-accurate emulation of a Roland drum machine, monosynth, and bass synth setup, with an additional polyphonic synth for house chord "stabs".
Hopefully, the controls are intuitive enough to users familiar with these synths. There are master controls for Play, BPM, and Shuffle - and a "Sync" button to return all instruments to step 1. Each instrument has its own step sequencer, with a range of 8-32 steps.
This was created by Woody Sullender to test web audio API possibilties. Yes it needs a number of functionality tweaks, and works so-so on mobile - but it is all running in your web browser!
The original Roland 909 used digital samples for the cymbals. All of the instrument sounds here are being synthesized in the browser, with a bit of variation for character. Consider the highly unstable clock to be added mojo! 😃
